Better lens – many benefits
We are all different. We like different things, we have different lifestyles and different needs. That is why finding a good lens is so very important. Here we explain what a big difference the right kind of lens can make.
Protection
Our eyes are daily exposed to stress. Harmful UV-rays and blue violet light from the sun and screens can cause discomfort and in some cases even damage your eyes. So make sure to take care of them properly. A better lens selectively filters harmful light and protects your eyes whilst preserving your overall well-being.

Blue light
Unlike basic lenses, a high quality lens partially filters blue-violet light, without a notable residual tint on the lens. This will benefit the overall well-being of your eyes while keeping your lenses aesthetically clear.
Basic
Basic lenses don't offer protection from blue light*
*Harmful Blue Light: up to 455nm with the greatest toxicity between 415–455nm.
UV
All of our lenses provide at least a partial UV protection through the front surface of the lens. Our best lens gives you a full UV protection through the front surface while also reducing reflections from the back side of the lens.

Vision
Your vision is an essential part of how you experience your everyday life. Things such as scratches, smudges or distortion can be very distracting and affect your performance and well being. A lens with good quality can help to prevent this and result in a much more comfortable visual experience.

Field of view
The quality of the lens can make a big difference for your field of view. With a better lens you experience sharp details even in your peripheral vision.

Basic
A basic progressive lens has narrower fields of sharp vision
Distortion
Progressive lenses can cause a "swim effect", which impacts peripheral vision and can distort vision at the edges of the lenses. The best lenses can dramatically reduce this distortion, which results in vision stability and being able to trust what you see.
Basic
With basic progressive lenses, swim effect can be an issue.
Dirt & smudges
Dirty lenses can be very annoying. A good coating will protect your lenses from fingerprint smudges, dirt and dust, so your lenses stay clearer and also easier to clean.
Basic
Uncoated lenses smudge easily and require cleaning often.
Scratches
Anyone who wears plastic lenses will have experienced scratched lenses at some point. Having a good coating can reduce the risk of scratching. This might be particularly handy for children’s glasses.

Aesthetics
The aesthetics of your lenses will affect how you look and feel when wearing your glasses. Better lenses are usually both thinner and lighter and can also make your eyes look more natural. A better coating can reduce distracting reflections in your lenses and your eyes will be seen by others better.

The appearance of the eye
You have probably experienced that someone with glasses can seem to have bigger or smaller eyes than they actually have. The appearance of the eye depends on the prescription and the type and material of the lens

Sun
Our eyes are vulnerable to bright light and UV-rays from the sun on almost a daily basis. This can cause discomfort and in some cases even damage your eyes, so make sure to take care of them properly. Polarized sun lenses are an excellent solution, as they eliminated glare from surfaces and help you see well even in harsh sunlight, while protecting your eyes from harmful UV rays.
